Welcome to the new Sally Cohen PR website! I know, I know… it only took me five years to finally get it up and running. The thing about being a publicist is that you often end up putting your clients’ branding needs before your own. But at long last, I have a website that reflects the creativity and passion I bring to working for my equally creative and passionate clients.

In other news, I have been searching for years for the right partner/assistant, and found the perfect match right under my nose: my daughter Sammi Cohen, who’s an actor, singer and blogger in real life (the apple not falling far from the tree). Truth be told, I finally succeeded in convincing her to join me on a full-time basis and I couldn’t be happier sharing my office and my work load with her!

And speaking of work, here’s a little update on what’s up with some of my wonderful clients:

It may be months away, but you have only until April 22 at 5 p.m. to submit/pitch your show to the fourth annual First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival (September 17-26). How does one do that, you ask? It’s free and painless: just click here.

Prime Time Funk will celebrate 19 years together (!) with a special show at Lovin’ Cup on May 2 at 8:30 p.m. The 10-piece powerhouse also continues as the official house band for the Rochester Music Hall of Fame’s annual awards ceremony at Kodak Hall on April 26 at 7 p.m.

As usual, the RPO is my busiest client. It boggles my mind how much this orchestra packs into a month – just check out its May schedule of more than 20 concerts with something for everyone.

DEEP Arts is on a fascinating journey of its own with a new, original show called Moses Man: A Musical Journey of Survival. Not only will it have a workshop production at Geva Theatre Center’s Nextstage in May, but it will get a full production at NYMF (New York Musical Theatre Festival) in July.

My friends at Airigami – who are always doing amazing things – head to Philly to build another giant LEGO figure at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center for BRICKFEST Live! on April 25 & 26.  They’re also looking for Balloon Manor 2016 sponsors – check out Balloon Manor 2015 here.

After six years of handling PUSH Physical Theatre’s PR, I’ve been asked to join its board of directors as well – what an honor! YOU can join the company for two weeks this July 12-25 for PUSH’s Summer Intensive, and – in case you haven’t heard– PUSH’s Jekyll & Hyde will get its world premiere at Blackfriars Theatre in January 2016.

Hope you can take a few minutes to check out the new site and let me know what you think.  Come back and visit anytime, or catch up with me on social media (and if there’s something you’d like me to mention to my artsy-type followers, please don’t hesitate to contact me.)

Happy spring!
